Also known as Mistin in English. Haruno Kasumi is a fourth-grader. Her parents are zoologists who went over to Africa to carry out their research studies. In order to see off her parents, Kasumi arrived at Kasumi Town. In the middle of the town lies an enormous mansion surrounded by the forest. The mansion belongs to the Kasumi household, the family in which Kasumi will be lodging in and taken care of. There is a mysterious aura about the mansion and Kasumi discovers a series of talking appliances. The Kasumi family refers to these creatures as "Henamon". In return for living in with the family, Kasumi will be helping out with the household chores such as cooking and washing. Surrounded by various interesting characters, Kasumi begins a new chapter in her life.

Once there was a piece of very special red bean bread baking in the oven, but tragically while the tray was being removed the bread fell and became a burnt brown bread now known as Kogepan. No one would buy burnt bread or be nice to him, so Kogepan became an outcast with no emotion for others. He ran away from home, gets drunk off milk, smokes, and always says negative things about himself. To pass the time, Kogepan reads books on how to become better bread and teaches the pretty bread what he knows of life. He dreams that someday if he works hard enough, he can be worth something too.
L'histoire se déroule à Edo, en 1842, pendant la treizième année de l'ère Tenp?. On January 1, 1995, a G-Reactive fighter plane was being tested, while it was hit by a mysterious rainbow light and disappeared. 5 years later, two boys, Billy Kimura and Penny Carter, meet at a train station where a new bullet train utilizing G-Reactive was being launched. However, to their shock, the train was hit by a rainbow beam of light, and disappeared. After a series of events and acquaintances, the two boys discover that aliens were beginning to invade Earth. Sinbad is a young boy and the son of a famous merchant from Baghdad. Sinbad, who is separated from his uncle, begins the adventure alone with only Yasmina for company. When he returns home from his first adventures, he finds to his shock that his parents are missing, since they have gone to find him and were apparently lost at sea. With no formal ties left at home in Bagdad, Sinbad sets out again in search for adventure.

Mika est une fille de 12 ans, la plus à la rue et la plus nunuche de tous ceux qui fréquentent l'école. Détail qui a son importance (car c'est sur lui que se fonde l'essentiel de l'humour de cette série) : Mika est la prof et ceux plus âgés et encore plus dingues qu'elle sont ses élèves. une gamine sortie tout droit de l'école primaire donnant des cours à des élèves de lycée. Pour couronner le tout, chacun de ses élèves est un cas pathologique.

Leur force : l'unification de leurs différentes capacités, parmi lesquelles l'intelligence, l'intuition, la ruse ou encore l'imagination. Grâce à leurs personnalités et à leur facilité à s'adapter les uns aux autres, ils résolvent ensemble des crimes dans les quartiers chauds de Tokyo que même les professionnels ne parviennent pas à éclairer !
