Seconde saison de l'anime Cardfight!! Vanguard G.Chrono, Shion et Tokoha décident de participer à la "G Quest", un gros tournoi organisé par l'Association Internationale de Vanguard.
Pour le remporter, il leur faudra réussir toutes les quêtes des six branches et affronter des Cardfighters de renom. Si ils gagnent, ils obtiendront le titre de "Generation Master" et pourront même devenir des Clan Leader.
Mais d'étranges choses semblent se préparer en coulisses.

Once there was a piece of very special red bean bread baking in the oven, but tragically while the tray was being removed the bread fell and became a burnt brown bread now known as Kogepan. No one would buy burnt bread or be nice to him, so Kogepan became an outcast with no emotion for others. He ran away from home, gets drunk off milk, smokes, and always says negative things about himself. To pass the time, Kogepan reads books on how to become better bread and teaches the pretty bread what he knows of life. He dreams that someday if he works hard enough, he can be worth something too.
L'histoire se déroule à Edo, en 1842, pendant la treizième année de l'ère Tenp?. On January 1, 1995, a G-Reactive fighter plane was being tested, while it was hit by a mysterious rainbow light and disappeared. 5 years later, two boys, Billy Kimura and Penny Carter, meet at a train station where a new bullet train utilizing G-Reactive was being launched. However, to their shock, the train was hit by a rainbow beam of light, and disappeared. After a series of events and acquaintances, the two boys discover that aliens were beginning to invade Earth. Fortunately, scientists developed the Sky Knight, a fighter plane capable of defending the world. As the extraterrestrials begin to invade, Billy, Penny, and their comrades begin their attempt to save the human race from the alien menace.

Sinbad is a young boy and the son of a famous merchant from Baghdad. Sinbad especially enjoys listening to the adventure stories of his uncle Ali who has brought Sinbad a strange speaking bird named Yasmina with him from his journeys. Sinbad decides to join his uncle and in hope of being a part of his uncle next adventure. After a giant whale attackes the boat, he ends up on a deserted island. Sinbad, who is separated from his uncle, begins the adventure alone with only Yasmina for company. When he returns home from his first adventures, he finds to his shock that his parents are missing, since they have gone to find him and were apparently lost at sea. With no formal ties left at home in Bagdad, Sinbad sets out again in search for adventure.
Hiroshi Shiba is a car racer who is mortally wounded in a laboratory accident, but restored to life by his father, Professor Shiba, a talented scientist and archaeologist, who is incidentally investigating the relics of the ancient Jamatai Kingdom. During his research, Shiba discovers a tiny bronze bell with tremendous powers. Many years later, prof.
